The basic Fire insurance covers loss or damage to your property caused by fire, lightning and explosion of domestic gas cylinder in any building provided such building does not form part of any gas works. The policy may be extended to include special perils permitted under the Revised Fire Tariff (RFT).
The policy is usually extended to cover the following special perils:
• Explosion
• Riot, Strike and Malicious Damage
• Impact Damage by Road Vehicle
• Damage caused by aircraft and other aerial devices and/or articles dropped therefrom
• Storm, Tempest
• Earthquake and Volcanic Eruption
• Bursting and Overflowing of Water Tanks and Pipes
• Flood
